oil spill in China 1/04/10

the dramatic oil spill that happened in China not too long ago polluted the Yellow River. the Yellow River is one of many sources of water. it seems that the metal pipeline started to leak out diesel oil last Thursday, they have been working on the pipe ever since. when the oil started to leak, the managers had to make sure that every one around that community to stay away/ do not drink the water because it has harmful chemicals that could destroy your body. this effects my life because what if someone heard that the water was harmful but it was too late because he or she already drank it. well, i do’t know… here is the website where i got my information. http://www.nytimes.com/2010/01/04/world/asia/04china.html?scp=2&sq=china&st=cse

That is very dangerous it is very good that people are helping to stop the leak.
maybe they might not think to have an oil pipe running through the river so this might not happen again but china has been in a drought before much worse than this so i am not to worried.
